Our Board of Directors and Executive Management are comprised of senior leaders who are seasoned professionals with extensive experience within their respective fields.
They are responsible for ensuring Falcon Cement Company is guided towards and firmly placed on its path to realising its vision of becoming one of the leading cement manufacturers in the GCC region and ensuring continued excellence in customer service and shareholder value.

Majed Abdulla Al Khan

Chairman

Majed Al Khan has been appointed as the Chairman of Falcon, bringing over 22 years of extensive experience in real estate, private equity and asset management. He is a renowned businessman and a recognized financial engineer who has successfully led the completion of more than 1 million square meters of flagship developments and numerous M&A transactions.

In addition to his role as Chairman of Falcon, Majed holds the position of Board Member & CEO of Infracorp, Bahrain’s prominent Infrastructure and Development Company with assets and developments valued at 1.2 billion. He also serves as the chairman and director of various organizations, including Gulf Holding Company (GHC), Falcon Cement B.S.C., Balexco B.SC., ASK Real Estate W.L.L., Tunis Bay Project Company, and Royal Parks Marakesh.

Majed Al Khan holds a B.A. (with honors) in International Finance and Accounting from Newcastle’s Northumbria University at Newcastle, England. Prior to joining Infracorp, he held executive roles at HSBC Middle East and Inovest Bahrain, showcasing his strong background in the financial sector.

Baha Al-Marzooq

Vice Chairman

Baha Al-Marzooq, has more than two decades of auditing and banking experience. He is the Chief Internal Audit of GFH Financial Group B.S.C and currently holds a number of directorships in financial, industrial and real estate companies including GFH Partners, Balexco, Royal Parks Marrakech, Royal Resort Malabata Tangier, Tunis Bay Project Company, etc.

Baha Al-Marzooq holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from University of Bahrain and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) California, USA. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bahrain in addition to a number of specialized professional qualifications including, Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Global Management Accountant and has a Certification in Risk Management Assurance. He has also participated in several technical, business and leadership programs and lately completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program from Harvard Business School.

Zia Ul Rab Siddiqui

Board Member

Zia is the Director – Investments at The Arab Energy Fund (TAEF), where he leads investments in private equity, public equity, and funds. He has over 30 years of international experience in various fields such as investment, financing, corporate finance, and consulting, spanning across a wide range of sectors including energy, renewables, chemicals, industrial, shipping, fertilizers, OFSE and O&G.

Before joining TAEF in 2008, Zia worked at SABIC for five years where he was responsible for fertilizer investments.

He has also served on several boards and board committees of companies and funds operating in renewables, industrial, chemicals, energy, OFSE and shipping sectors throughout his career.

Muhammad Shakir

Board Member

Muhammad Shakir is an SVP in the Investments & Partnerships teams responsible for deploying capital and monitoring the private equity portfolio of the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation valued at ~USD 1.5 Bn.

At APICORP he plays an active role in pursing direct and indirect equity investments and adding value to portfolio companies and preparing them for exits. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial and industrial sectors ranging from investment banking, financial advisory, portfolio management and financial planning and analysis.

Muhammad Shakir is a Fulbright scholar with a Master of Business Administration from Boston University. He is also a CFA charter holder.

Jassim Mohammed Jassim Seyadi

Board Member

Mr. Jassim Seyadi, Bahrain nationality, has more than 44 years of professional experience. 27 years in the insurance and reinsurance field and 18 years in the management of industrial companies, which includes both Aluminium and Cement Industries.

His extensive experience includes the field of insurance, management, marketing and human resources, in addition to planning and developing work, procedures and legal issues in companies. His academic education comprises Geology & Chemistry from Kuwait University Kuwait, College of Science, and Legal from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon College of Law.

Apart of his professional success, his contribution to society and charity is remarkable. Founder and Chairman of the Bahraini Federation for Persons with Disabilities and the Bahrain Society for Parents of Disabled, and member of the Higher Committee for Disability for three sessions. Member in many committee of Chamber of commerce and industry.

 Ramy Al-Ashmawy

Board Member

Ramy Al-Ashmawy has 20 years of international experience in the Energy sector. He is a Senior Associate, Investments & Partnerships, APICORP, KSA.

Ramy Al-Ashmawy was the Complex Solutions Manager at Natural Resources, Orange Business Services, Egypt & France. He was the Economics & Planning Coordinator for Dana Gas PJSC, Egypt & UAE, a Senior Energy Consultant with IHS CERA, UK, and Iraq Focus Group Coordinator with IHS CERA, UK.

Ramy Al-Ashmawy was also the due diligence & transaction support Associate with Xodus, Regional Strategic Marketing & Commercial Planning Coordinator with TENARIS, UAE, a Senior Coordinator – strategic transformation of Credit Guarantee Co. of Egypt, and Senior Energy Specialist, Strategy, Energy Economics and Sustainability, APICORP, KSA.

Ramy Al-Ashmawy holds a BSc. Electrical Engineering, MBA in Strategic Management & Corporate Finance and he is a Certified Axelos™ Management of Risk Practitioner (M_O_R®).

Nada Alkoohiji

Board Member

Nada Alkoohiji is a highly experienced CFO with a 24 year career covering several senior roles and manages fiscal reporting activities for Infracorp. She overseas all major financial transactions and ensures all project companies maintain a high degree of fidelity, from feasibility studies and funding through to project closure and exit.

Nada Alkoohiji holds several Directorships including Morocco Gateway Investment Co, Tunis Bay Investment Co & Harbour North Real Estate.

Previously, Nada was CFO for Edamah for nearly 10 years, She is Certified Management Accountant (USA, 2013), holds an MBA with Distinction (University of DePaul, Chicago. USA) and a BA with Distinction in Accounting (University of Bahrain).

Alia Alshamlan

Board Member

Alia Al Shamlan is an Executive Director in the Investments Team at Infracorp, she brings to her role 17 years of diversified experience in asset management, investments and real estate transactions. This includes the implementation of transactions from structuring and execution through to placement. Alia began working at GFH Financial Group in 2006 where she has held a number of roles across the Group’s asset management and investment business lines.

Alia Al Shamlan holds a Bachelors in Management and Minor in IT from Bentley College and has attended numerous courses at the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance including those on Anti-money Laundering, Islamic Banking, and Accounting.

Alexander Zolotov

Board Member

Mr. Alexander Zolotov is an Executive Director in the Proprietary Investment Department and GFH Financial Group.

Mr. Alexander is a holder of master’s degree in Nuclear Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia.

Mr. Alexander has previously worked with Morgan Stanley IM, Sistema PJSFC and most recently family office of the Damac Group.

His experience is broadly diversified across private equity transactions, financings, and asset management of real estate, banking, IT, FMCG, materials and other assets.

Tauseef Ur Rehman

Acting General Manager

Tauseef ur Rehman, joined as Chief Financial Officer and currently working in the capacity of the Acting General Manager. Tauseef is a Corporate Finance professional with over 20 years of rich qualitative experience in managing Operation & Finance, with proven abilities in enhancing processes, systems and achieving objectives towards organizational growth.

He is a pro-active and result oriented professional with verifiable year after year success in facilitating in setting up of Standard Policies & Procedures related to business growth objectives within start-up and rapid-change environments. Having expertise in appraising project viability, analyzing existing systems and procedures, designing internal control systems, and facilitating effective decision-making.

He has a unique blend of diversified experience from Audit service to beverage industry, Software House, Textile Industry, Real Estate, building material sector.

Prior to his appointment at Falcon Cement, he was Sector Controller in Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali Group, heading seven manufacturing industries engaged in building material.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Punjab, Pakistan and qualify from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Abdul Rahman Al-Awadhi, Senior Manager of Administration at Falcon Cement Company. With over a decade of experience in Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Abdul Rahman’s expertise has been instrumental in our company’s success. He holds an MBA from Wales, UK,

and brings extensive knowledge from his 20+ years in retail, customer services, and sales, including a notable tenure at Batelco.

Ravi Shankar Verma

Finance Manager

Ravi is a FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) with over 30 years of experience of working in senior management positions in companies across India and Bahrain.

Ravi currently holds the position of Finance Manager at Falcon Cement Co. Prior to joining Falcon Cement he was with Midal Group of Companies, handling all operations for Bahrain Welding Wire Products Company and Midal Cables Saudi. He had full responsibility for both the companies, development of financial and operational strategy, and control systems by development of budgets and consolidation with the group. This was done with due compliance of IFRS for both the companies and VAT implementation for Midal Cables Saudi.
